kubast2Yo is it possible to know kind of, what's the maximum bitstream size that a chip supports? I have no clue atm what eeprom size I should use17:18
kubast2Yeah tbf it is a dumb question17:21
kubast2But I just don't know, a good size to use, for something like "ICE40HX1K-TQ144"17:22
kubast2from what I can tell, the bitstream size depends on a project, I haven't tried anything big, but for a board that uses a different ICE40 model the size seems to vary between 40-132KiB17:25
aggthe lattice docs for the ice40 tell you the maximum sizes, one sec17:26
kubast2I tried looking those up, I didn't ctrl+f well enough then, sorry for the trouble17:27
aggyou want the iCE40 programming and configuration technical note, pg18, table 9.217:27
agghttps://imgur.com/a/Ms1wlnm17:28
tpbTitle: Imgur: The magic of the Internet (at imgur.com)17:28
kubast2cool, I were only looking up documents provided by farnell17:28
aggfarnell sell ice40? huh17:28
kubast2yeah17:28
kubast2tqfp package17:29
aggyou'll want to get all the ice40 technical docs, the datasheet's definitely not got everything17:29
aggbut yea, that table is hidden away and is what you want for this17:29
aggah weird, i see they are "no longer stocked" on the bga ones but carry a few of the hx1k-tq14417:30
aggweird17:30
agghttp://www.latticesemi.com/ice40 for hx/lp/lm parts, grab the ice technology library, ice40 hardware checklist, perhaps pinout, programming nad configuration, sysclock/pll, memory usage guide, probably all useful17:31
tpbTitle: iCE40 LP/HX/LM - Lattice Semiconductor (at www.latticesemi.com)17:31
aggthe "pcb layout recommendations for leaded packages" might be helpful for the tqfp part too17:31
kubast2thanks I think I have grabbed it all, and a bit more;17:45
