tntSo, I'm having some trouble with PCIe.15:46
tntI can only see the device if I load the bitstream while the machine is already booted and I trigger a rescan ( echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/rescan ). If I reboot it, I don't see it on the bus anymore.15:47
tntAlso, even if detected, I get [ 1359.006710] litepcie 0000:01:00.0: Version \xff\xff\xff\xff\xff\xff...  so something is obviously not working.15:48
tntThis is also a bit worrying: [ 1293.572675] pci 0000:01:00.0: 16.000 Gb/s available PCIe bandwidth, limited by 2.5 GT/s PCIe x8 link at 0000:00:01.0 (capable of 63.008 Gb/s with 8.0 GT/s PCIe x8 link)15:48
_florent_tnt: I'm assuming you are using the analog devices board that you've been able to test succesfully a few months ago?15:51
_florent_tnt: is there a difference in the setup/vivado version? of the only difference is LiteX/LitePCIe?15:52
tntyeah. But I've got one locally now, trying to run it on a different platform.15:52
_florent_tnt: if the latter maybe try to use LitePCIe 2021.12: https://github.com/enjoy-digital/litepcie/releases/tag/2021.1215:53
_florent_so the motherboard is different from the one you were previously using?15:54
tntyes.15:55
tntRebuilding now with 2021.12 tag + local changes to use the other Quad.15:57
tntI'll try to recheck on the old setup tomorrow, but not sure it's going to be possible, I think the board was out-of-stock and they sent me the only one they had.15:58
_florent_tnt: I currently have a ZCU106 in my office with PCIe that should be close I think to the configuration of your board, so I could also do a test.16:03
tntlooks pretty close indeed.  16:04
tntBTW theses things are mechanical nightmares ...16:04
_florent_For now I only tested LitePCIe on the ZCU106 through a PCIe Riser (Gen3 X1). Doing more would requires a proper Gen3 X4 extender or indeed some weird mechanical setup...16:10

tnt16x might be easier to find.16:12
tntOh no, nm, 4x is common.16:12

tntJust rechecked both 4x and 8x modes with 2021.12 tag and identical results.16:29
tntGotta go now, but I'll check tonight if I can find anything.16:30
