mithroHey rohitksingh07:03
rohitksinghmithro: hi!07:04
mithrorohitksingh: Do you have access to a 3d printer?07:04
rohitksinghmithro: nope :/07:04
mithrorohitksingh: So, I'm slowly putting together the DisplayPort AUX interceptor board and the TOFE to AXIOM adapters07:04
mithrorohitksingh: Do you have an Opsis board + LowSpeedIO / MilkyMist boards?07:05
rohitksinghmithro: I do have Opsis and Milkymist board, but in office07:05
rohitksinghmithro: They are not my personal boards07:06
mithroI plan to send a bunch to _florent_, hamster and Bertl - should I send you some too?07:08
mithrorohitksingh: we should also have the TOFE VGA board PCB finished pretty soon07:12
rohitksinghmithro: I'd like to have DisplayPort AUX interceptor board with me when debugging DisplayPort07:12
mithrorohitksingh: I think it probably makes sense for you to have atleast one of every board we had07:13

mithro_florent_: ping?08:07
shenkimithro: what is the current draw of the opsis?08:08
mithroshenki: somewhere between 1A and 2A depending on what features you are using08:08
shenkiok08:08
shenkifound a power supply in my box o junk that fits the barrel, but it's only rated to 0.5A08:09
mithroYeah, that is probably a bit low08:09
mithroshenki: Don't have an old computer PSU lieing around?08:10
shenkimithro: i will go hunting. ive taken the one i know works to the office08:10
mithroshenki: Did you see the email I sent a couple of minutes ago?08:19
shenkimithro: reading it now08:20
mithroshenki: Hopefully we end up with something :)08:54
shenkimithro: yeah sounds good!08:55
shenkimithro: just got the blinky firmware running08:55
mithroshenki: In QEmu?08:55
shenkimithro: need to implement the capsense device now08:55
shenkimithro: yeah. no hardware yet08:55
mithroshenki: My parents said they would leave it in your mailbox next time they go past08:56
shenkioh cool08:56
shenkijust checked, no suprises yet08:57
mithroshenki: Probably tomorrow I think08:59

mithroxfxf: ping - See the above link09:08
mithroxfxf: 3d printing an ITX case isn't really worth it, that one took ~10 hours to print09:19
mithroxfxf: I'm probably going to try https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:495941 next09:25
tpbTitle: Mini ITX Case by 3ddruckqueck - Thingiverse (at www.thingiverse.com)09:25
mithroshenki: Find a power supply?09:48
shenkimithro: nope. gave up for now; hacking on qemu instead09:56
shenkihow long will the mitx case take to print?09:56
mithroshenki: About that 10-15 hours09:56
shenkihrm i hope it works then :)10:00
mithroActually, it is estimating 28 hours....10:00
shenkihow much will it cost in material?10:00
mithroMaybe ~$1.0010:01
shenkiok. nice. low risk in that sense :)10:01
mithroJust time really10:02
xfxfmithro: yeah i bought a 3d printer with intent on printing a bunch of cases, but the cases need to be slightly bigger then what the printer can actually print10:55
xfxfi started experimenting with a design that could be built in seconds but never persued10:56
xfxfi wonder whether there's a better alternative to basic 3d printing given collectively we probably want a good ~30 cases printed10:56
xfxfthe weight of the cases i'm currently using is problematic for interstate/overseas work, they're kinda heavy10:57
xfxfer, s/built in seconds/built in pieces/10:57
mithro_florent_: So, I've gotten the UART stuff working on the Opsis board using your opsis-soc11:17
rohitksinghmithro / _florent_ : how does this opsis-sim target work? In Qemu?11:22
mithrorohitksingh: verilator11:32
mithro_florent_: I've also confirmed that the liteEth / opsis_minisoc is broken on opsis-soc target -- https://github.com/enjoy-digital/opsis-soc/issues/2111:32

mithroWell I'm done for the night.12:35
mithroNext step is to test the video soc target12:36
mithroOh! _florent_ - I fixed the only issue I could find with the uart on the lowspeed io board. The opsis was holding the reset line low. I've successfully uploaded the lm32 firmware via it multiple times now.12:40
mithroAlso tested the fx2 in serial mode and that seems to work fine to12:42
mithroWith my latest changes, they both work, as does connecting a pmodusbuart to the p3 connector.12:44
