acathlaFomu workshop, riscv-blink : "The LED should be blinking quickly in a rainbow pattern.". But it does not work (tm)08:35
acathlainstead I have a blinking red, or pink, LED08:35
daveshahIs it possible the green connection of the LED just isn't soldered?08:37
acathlaThe LED is fine, the code is just not loaded correctly. Isn't a red blinking LED = bad upload or something?08:40
acathlaAnd I can change the color with some wishbone-tool commands08:49
acathlaI've got the fomu toolchain v1.5.6. gdb says in backtrace : trap_entry () at ./src/crt0-vexriscv.S:38 , 38  lw x11, 10*4(sp)09:07

st-gourichon-fidHi. When using fomu-toolchain on *buntu 20.04, fomu-toolchain-linux_x86_64-v1.5.6/lib/python3.6/ctypes/__init__.py fails with ImportError: libffi.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory . Any recommendation?09:26
st-gourichon-fid*buntu 20.04 provides libffi.so.7 not 6.09:26
st-gourichon-fidAh, known issue https://github.com/im-tomu/fomu-toolchain/issues/1609:26

tcalacathla: yes, it could be an error code.  I assume your Fomu is doing the teal "breath" (fade in / fade out) when it's first powered on?   I just ran this test myself after updating, and riscv-blink does work for me, although the color cycling is rather slow.   I'd suggest trying to alter the C program in some way you can observe, and recompile / reupload.   Have you tried the Verilog examples  yet?18:31
