futarisIRCcloudWSL 2 looks interesting...01:05
xobsfutarisIRCcloud: it does. I wonder how much of it will change.04:18
xobsAnd also, how much faster it'll be.04:19
futarisIRCcloudI/O is the big change. cut down 4.19 linux kernel running with windows.04:22
futarisIRCcloudWindows Terminal and VS Code remote also look good.04:22

xobsI'm looking forward to trying it out!05:33
xobsI'm a little annoyed at some of the weird issues my Surface Book 2 has, though.  Things like the keyboard/touchpad will get stuck maybe once a day for 15 seconds.05:34
xobsIt's mostly annoying, but once I had it happen in a "vi" session (not vim), and it was the "d" key that got stuck on repeat for about 15 seconds.05:34

tntalexhw: did you make any progress on your rx pipeline changes ?06:03
tntalexhw: btw, wrt to your messages yesterday, I think that it's fine to expect the sw to rearm an answer NAKs in the mean time. Usual MCU usb peripherals have buffers and the sw must ack each buffer before the hw accepts the next packet.06:04
futarisIRCcloudxobs: How is vexriscv generated for fomu?07:53
xobsfutarisIRCcloud: it varies, and it's in a state where it can be easily replaced.07:54
xobsBut for now, the repo is at https://github.com/xobs/VexRiscv-verilog/tree/riscv-contest-2019031507:54

futarisIRCcloudrv32e right?07:55
xobsrv32i07:55
xobsI don't know that vex has -e support yet07:58
futarisIRCcloudhttps://github.com/SpinalHDL/VexRiscv/issues/4208:06
tpbTitle: RV32E support · Issue #42 · SpinalHDL/VexRiscv · GitHub (at github.com)08:06
futarisIRCcloudMaybe we need to ping Dolu1990 on that issue...08:07
xobsIt sounds like the gain isn't that much on an FPGA, and it's mostly for silicon-constrained ASIC implementations.08:08
alexhw[m]tnt/xobs: I tried to get all tests to pass. Most failing ones were due to updated of the implementation that were not transfered to the tests. The only real change in implementation is synchronisation of oe12.09:18
alexhw[m]I merged my changes into the pull request. Running tests again right now. I expect only serial CRC implementation and epmem to fail (both not used)09:20
alexhw[m]I will probably build a programming jig to test and run it on my hacker fomu next09:21
xobsalexhw: where in the world are you located, and do you need EVT boards?09:21
alexhw[m]I'm in Germany, an evt board would be nice, yes09:22
xobsI'll get one to you when I'm back in the office tomorrow.  It's the least I could do!09:25
alexhw[m]Thanks!09:25

mithroalexhw[m]: Do you want some Fomu hacker boards?22:43
alexhwmithro: I got some from you at 35c3 already. Also have my rpi and a few pogo pins here. I'll try to flash them this week.23:36
mithroalexhw: Ahh ha!23:36
