eagles0513875i need some help if anyone is around15:08
eagles0513875GeofftheMedio: it was you who responded to my post in the forums about gg not being compiled and using ccmake can u clarify what ccmake woudl do for me15:09
GeofftheMedioeagles: ccmake is the command line interface that cmake uses to let you specify the locations of dependencies and set various build options16:20
GeofftheMedioyou might want to read up about cmake itself if you don't know how to use it16:20
eagles0513875i use cmake quite alot but never in this way16:21
GeofftheMediohow do you normally set configuration options or dependency locations?16:22
eagles0513875i usually dont have to mess with them16:23
GeofftheMediohmm.  well, ccmake is a pretty important part of cmake whenever I've used it on linux (which I don't for freeorion)16:24
eagles0513875GeofftheMedio: what distro do you use im on kubuntu 10.0416:27
eagles0513875its gotta be putting boost libs in a non standard location16:27
GeofftheMedioI don't use linux at home.16:27
eagles0513875when you do use linux what distro do you use16:27
GeofftheMediowhatever is installed on the systems at work16:29
GeofftheMedioCentOS I think?16:29

eagles0513875GeofftheMedio: im on kubuntu lucid17:56
GeofftheMediook...17:57
GeofftheMediodid you want me to do something with the information?17:57
eagles0513875GeofftheMedio: im just wondering if you didnt have to do anything in regards to where boost is im thinking that kubuntu puts the boost libs in a nonstandard location18:11
eagles0513875GeofftheMedio: im just wondering if you didnt have to do anything in regards to where boost is im thinking that kubuntu puts the boost libs in a nonstandard location for em18:15
eagles0513875whoops18:15
eagles0513875sry18:15
GeofftheMedioI don't know how cmake interacts with kubuntu, but if it's not autodetecting a boost installation, you probably need to use ccmake or some othe rmeans to tell cmake where boost is installed18:36
GeofftheMedioa thought occurs: it might be looking for a later boost version than you're using18:41
GeofftheMedioI'm not sure what the freeorion cmake files are set up to search for18:41
